RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in cooperation with the ACTS Coordinator to provide structured training and opportunities for adults who have autism, the instructor is responsible for creating and implementing a quarterly class schedule based on the goals, needs and desires of the adults served.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in related human services field.
Must meet state requirements for nurse’s aide registry. Must complete state requirement for 40 hours of classroom training and 80 hours of on-the-job training. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record. Must be willing and able to complete training assigned to include: First Aid, CPR, and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention). Ability to work in a team setting. Ability to interact effectively and sensitively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. One year of related experience using structured training for individuals with autism.
