RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties will vary depending on the time of year. Since the development of the butterflies and their food sources go hand in hand, the interns will be responsible for helping with both. The intern may help with caring for nectar bearing plants as well as multiple varieties of milkweed. The intern may help with the indoor growing of these plants in the winter, plant them outside in the spring, prune them in the summer, or collect seeds in the fall. The intern may help with population control, controlling genetic diversity, and general care of the adult butterflies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Biological or other applicable major required. GPA of 2.5 or higher. Must have reliable transportation.
